Waiting

Many of you know that when I was a young man I made some choices that I regret one of the things I regret is not going on a mission over the years I have had many callings in the church from scout master to young men’s President even Bishop and all thru the years I have told people that if I could go back and do Life over I would go on a mission I have told many young men that they need to serve a mission.

Over 35 years ago Debbie and I got married we decided that we were going to serve many missions in our life we wanted to serve. We decided that when we were able we would serve a mission WELL NOW IS TIME WE TURNED IN OUR MISSION PAPERS ABOUT A WEEK A GO We already know what we are going to do. We are going to serve a service mission in the Mound Fort 1st ward but the church could change that and send us any place in the Ogden, Salt lake area

We plan on serving as many Missions as we can some here close to home some when we retire away from Home any way that is the news

I am going to miss the people in Slaterville we sat in church Sunday and couldn’t help from feeling how much we would miss the people here they are great and over the years we have spent many hours serving the people here we always serve the ones we love just like the lord wants us to do

Thursday Night

Last Thursday Deb and I started a new class at the Family History center in Ogden it will go for ten weeks it is going to be a lot of fun we are learning about the Paf program and all it's tricks . I have used it for years but I learned a lot of new things on the first class the only thing I do not like is the Home work they teacher Expects us to do Home work (OUCH) It will be fun and the class only cost $10.00 that includes the book Cool.

Winter Camp

Hi Guys:

This past Friday night I took the boy scouts to winter camp we went up South Fork there was about two feet of snow and about ten feet of water from all the rain (Just kidding) It did rain on us both days we had a lot of fun the boys played in the snow and rain both days Nothing seems to slow them down they have fun on all of our activities they dug snow caves and slid down the hill and got all wet then came in and sat by the fire place. Any way they seem to have fun when they are together they are great young men.

Well Have a good day

I like Saturdays

Today is the first day with out a million things to do so we decided to go to Salt Lake and go to a store that has a lot of Missionary Items to send to Debbie's sister in Georgia.
I looked on the Internet and found the address the same as when Jake and Jared went on there Missions so we left and drove all the way to SLC and got to the store and Guess what IT WAS CLOSED The place was empty we ask the store next to it they have been closed for a year "Don't believe all you see on the Internet" I guess it is part the way out Economy is going If you have a job Hang on to it because there are not to many jobs out there so Just ride out the Hard times they will get better.

Have a good day

We had a good ride to SLC and then came home to work on more computers The story of my life
